Uniti dall'amore per il calcio, hanno trasformato un limite in un'opportunità, contribuendo all'invenzione del pallone sonoro e fondando l'ASCUS Lecce, una delle realtà più importanti e vincenti del calcio paralimpico italiano.

Alessio is a visually impaired teenager with a deep passion for football. His adolescence is shaped by the challenges of his condition and by the fear that one day he may lose his sight completely. 

The obstacles he faces are the same ones that Salvatore and Davide, now blind, have learned to overcome. Driven by their love of the game, they turned limitation into opportunity, helping to develop the sound ball and founding ASCUS Lecce, one of Italy’s most successful Paralympic football clubs. 

Cosa significa sopravvivere quando architettura e potere cercano di cancellare il futuro? 

Erto è un paese che avrebbe dovuto scomparire, eppure resiste, sospeso tra mito, memoria e resistenza. Dopo il disastro del Vajont del 1963, che distrusse interi villaggi e provocò quasi 2.000 vittime, il paese viene dichiarato inabitabile non per sicurezza, ma per ragioni legate allo sfruttamento del bacino idroelettrico. Gli abitanti vengono sgomberati con la forza, ma un gruppo di “ribelli” torna di nascosto, riportando vita in un luogo ufficialmente cancellato dalle mappe. 

La storia di Erto affonda però ancora più indietro: terra di esiliati e deportati già in epoca veneziana, diventa nel tempo una comunità che trasforma l’esilio in identità. Tra memoria e visione, passato e sogno, il film attraversa la sua storia come un “docu-sogno” in cui anche la natura diventa protagonista. 

Oggi, tra nuove forme di potere e le pressioni del mondo dell’arte contemporanea, Erto continua a interrogarsi su chi abbia il diritto di raccontarne la storia. Un film sui vinti, sulla resistenza e su un’unica domanda: dove finisce la memoria e dove inizia la possibilità di sopravvivere e immaginare ancora il futuro? 
What does it mean to survive when architecture and power conspire to erase the future? 

Erto is a village that was meant to disappear, yet still resists—suspended between myth, memory, and defiance. After the 1963 Vajont disaster, which destroyed entire villages and claimed nearly 2,000 lives, the town was declared uninhabitable not for safety reasons, but to allow continued exploitation of the hydroelectric basin. The inhabitants were forcibly evacuated, yet a small group of “rebels” secretly returned, bringing life back to a place officially erased from the maps. 

Erto’s history of exile goes even further back, rooted in Venetian times when deportees and convicts were sent to these remote mountains. Over centuries, exile became identity, and solitude became collective memory. The film moves through this layered history as a “docu-dream,” where even nature becomes a co-protagonist. 

Today, between new forms of power and the pressures of the contemporary art world, Erto once again questions who has the right to tell its story. A film about the defeated, about resistance, and a single question: where does memory end, and where does the possibility of survival and renewed hope begin?

Attorno a un ulivo si muove una “giostra umana” di vite e condizioni diverse. Al centro, il vuoto: la testimonianza di un contadino anziano che piange la scomparsa di un albero sradicato e venduto a un ricco acquirente del Nord. “E mò è tutt’ vacand” — ora è tutto vuoto.

Il vuoto diventa il cuore della narrazione: quello lasciato dagli alberi, dalle partenze dei giovani, e da una terra che si svuota di persone, lavoro e futuro.

Abulivia racconta il ritorno di un giovane del Sud al suo paese durante la raccolta delle olive. Nonostante una formazione elevata, al Nord ha trovato solo lavori precari. Il ritorno diventa una catarsi: attraverso la terra riscopre le proprie radici e un senso perduto di appartenenza e valori.

Il racconto si muove tra il vuoto fisico e quello esistenziale: un ulivo sradicato, un territorio impoverito, una memoria che resiste. “Abulivia” — lontano dagli ulivi — è insieme denuncia e grido di dolore, ma anche tentativo di resistenza e speranza per il Mezzogiorno.
Around an olive tree unfolds a “human carousel” of diverse lives and conditions. At its core lies emptiness: the testimony of an elderly farmer mourning a tree uprooted and sold to a wealthy buyer in Northern Italy. “And now everything is empty.” 

Emptiness becomes the central theme of the story—left behind by uprooted trees, by young people who leave, and by a land drained of people, work, and future. 

Abulivia tells the story of a young man from Southern Italy who returns home during the olive harvest. Despite his education and advanced degrees, he has only found precarious work in the North. His return becomes a cathartic journey, through which he rediscovers his roots and a lost sense of belonging and values. 

The narrative moves between physical and existential emptiness: a torn-up olive tree, an impoverished land, and a memory that resists disappearance. “Abulivia”—meaning “far from olive trees”—is both a cry of pain and a gesture of resistance, reflecting the condition of Southern Italy. 

Antonella, filmmaker pugliese, attraversa da anni le coste della sua terra inseguendo storie e tracce di memoria. Non è una turista né un’accademica, ma una cercatrice di passato: osserva ciò che si nasconde sotto la superficie del mare e della terra, dove nulla resta immobile.

Il film è un viaggio fisico e interiore lungo le coste più stratificate della Puglia, tra Adriatico e Ionio: da Vieste al Gargano, da Siponto alle Tremiti, fino a Porto Cesareo e Leuca. In ogni tappa Antonella incontra archeologi, studiosi e abitanti, facendo emergere una memoria sommersa che rende il Mediterraneo un vero protagonista.

Tra presente e passato, il documentario costruisce un dialogo tra bagnanti contemporanei e navigatori di tremila anni fa, tra relitti, anfore e storie di esilio — dalle deportazioni alle Tremiti alle tracce della grande storia mediterranea.

Metabolé (trasformazione in greco antico) diventa la chiave del film: il mare conserva, trasforma e restituisce, mantenendo vivi i luoghi e le identità in continua mutazione. Il passato non è altrove, ma scorre nel presente.

La voce di Antonella accompagna lo spettatore in modo intimo e non didascalico, fino a rivelare che il mare che racconta è anche quello che la abita.

Antonella, a filmmaker from Puglia, has spent years traveling along the coasts of her land in search of stories and traces of memory. Neither a tourist nor an academic, she is a seeker of the past, attuned to what lies beneath the surface of sea and land, where nothing is ever still. 

The film is both a physical and inner journey along the layered shores of Puglia, between the Adriatic and Ionian seas—from Vieste and the Gargano to Siponto, the Tremiti Islands, Porto Cesareo, and Leuca. At each stop, Antonella meets archaeologists, scholars, and local inhabitants, revealing a submerged memory in which the Mediterranean becomes a living protagonist. 

Across past and present, the documentary creates a dialogue between today’s beachgoers and ancient seafarers, between shipwrecks, amphorae, and stories of exile—from deportations to the Tremiti Islands to fragments of Mediterranean history. 

Metabolé (ancient Greek for “transformation”) becomes the film’s guiding concept: the sea preserves, transforms, and returns, keeping places and identities in constant flux. The past is not elsewhere—it flows within the present. 

Antonella’s voice guides the viewer with intimacy and curiosity, until revealing that the sea she describes is also the one that lives within her.

Giovani cresciuti ai margini della città, tra precarietà, notti all’aperto e assenza di prospettive. Anche parte della troupe proviene da esperienze simili, trasformando il film in un percorso condiviso in cui vite reali entrano nel cinema e trovano voce.

Il film esplora l’età sospesa tra infanzia ed età adulta, in cui crescere significa affrontare povertà e scelte precoci. Tra strada e futuro possibile, i protagonisti cercano il proprio posto nel mondo.

Girato tra gennaio e febbraio 2026, il progetto è anche un’esperienza partecipativa e formativa, in cui il cinema diventa strumento di espressione e trasformazione.
 In Addis Abeba, Robba dreams of becoming an athlete, but work and family responsibilities force him to give up running. His sister Nardos and their friends turn an abandoned lot into a track, giving him one last chance to race. 

Great Games was created in Addis Ababa and features teenagers who until recently lived on the streets—young people shaped by life on the city’s margins, marked by precarity, nights outdoors, and a lack of opportunities. Some members of the crew share similar backgrounds, making the film a collective journey where real lives enter cinema and find a voice. 

The film explores the fragile age between childhood and adulthood, when growing up means facing poverty and premature choices. Between the street and the hope of a future, the protagonists search for their place in the world. 

Shot between January and February 2026, the project is also a participatory experience in which cinema becomes a tool for expression, learning, and transformation.
